Factor City proudly presents Stateless, the first E.P. from the new Spanish producer Shelby Grey. After releasing remixes for El Txef A-Holger Zilske & Dave DK, Vicknoise, Vinilette and now lately Fear of Tigers it’s time for Shelby Grey to be remixed. Stateless is an E.P. charged with good vibrations and new talents: Dance Disorder, Kenton Slash Demon due to the label veterans Undo and Lontano, which are back after some time in silence.
On Stateless, Shelby Grey has let his imagination run free, letting his musical inspirations from house, acid, IDM get together with his passion for old disco. The result is a dark disco track with a melancholic, but at the same time beautiful, atmosphere based on a rhythm made up by elements from the past, present and the future.
The duo Baby G & Robin Crafood, more known as Dance Disorder, gives us a remix charged with synths, pads and an hypnotic bass that turn Stateless in to a piece of cosmic disco.
On their behalf, Lontano transform Stateless from disco to deep retro house where the voice samples play the main character. The head of the label, Undo, shows with his remix his love for clean and simple pop music, giving Stateless and touch of indiepop and new wave.
The Danish youngsters Kenton slash Demon bring us another side of Stateless turning the original into a dark and organic house track as taken from the future, charged with so much bass and energy that it’s impossible to not dance.
Thanks for listening!
